COP FROM INDIA

Superintendent Lalit Das, Indian Police Service, Orissa Province wrote a story about his work in India and it was published on NY COP ONLINE MAGAZINE called "Supercyclone".  Over 10,000 people were killed in a hurricane that devastated his province.

He visited New York City with his family last month and visited a few precincts and One Police Plaza.  We wish to thank Lieutenant Brian Hughes, Commanding Officer, Highway-Emergency Service Staten Island for the courtesy that he and the members of his command extended to us at Emergency Truck 5 quarters.  Superintendent Das was especially interested in the rescue equipment that is carried about emergency trucks in the NYPD.
